Daiwa Ballistic MQ Spinning Reels have started arriving! This is good news as these reels are really nice and the pre-orders have been off the charts! There are not many spinning reels that fit into the same category as the Ballistic MQ. We are talking carbon body, high performance in the $200-$250 range. This reel goes head to head with the Shimano Vanford and we feel it will win your heart.
I believe this is the fourth generation of Ballistic reels from Daiwa and they keep evolving with every generation. This one incorporates the monocoque body design and that means a bigger gear in a smaller reel. Van Staal has been doing it for years and the results are solid.
