Quantum increased the size of the paddle handles, but most anglers will upgrade to a power handle. The reason Skinner likes this reel because of the Flippin' Switch. With this feature engaged it is super easy to find bottom when you are drifting. It's a one hand operation that is a faster and more efficient solution that having to depress a button and then turn the handle to reengage. Over the years we have sold thousands of Accurist reels and they hold up really well. The durability is kind of shocking as a lot of anglers are fishing heavier lead with them, which they were not designed to do. They just keep going and going. With its Saltguard coating it handles saltwater environments really well and will last a very long time!
