Van Staal has repositioned the instant anti-reverse eliminating any back movement in the spool. Included with this new model are the popular PowerGrip handle knob and drag knob. These are now standard on the reel so you don't have to upgrade. Van Staal has also changed the series a bit the 100 size gets a faster retrieve and it now picks up 33.5\" of line with every rotation of the handle. The 275 size is gone and replaced with the 300 which has also got a speed boost to 49.5\" per crank. Everything you loved about the previous X-SERIES is in the X2. They feature the same industry leading sealing so you can splash, dunk or swim with these reels. Aluminum body, stainless steel gears and titanium internals make them rock solid!
