Whether you’re fishing freshwater or softwater, at one time or another you are going to want to crimp a monofilament line or a cable. Crimps for sale at J & H are represented by the manufacturers Billfisher, Hi-Seas, and Jinkal.  Actually, what we offer are double sleeves, through which you’ll place your line, or cable, using a thimble to protect the line and also keep it in the proper shape, and then use a crimping tool to actually do the crimping!

So, although we’ll be referring to these double sleeves as crimps you buy online, what we’re really talking about are the double sleeves. Thimbles and a tool such as the Hi-Seas Hand Crimper are also necessary.

Crimps prices are less than ten dollars for a supply of the double sleeves (the line or cable is threaded through one sleeve, you create a loop over a thimble, and thread the end back through the other sleeve, pull the line or cable tight over the thimble, and then crimp it using your hand crimper. There are videos at YouTube which show you how to use a crimping tool, sleeves and thimble. Once you’ve crimped line a couple of times, you’ll be a pro!

Crimps are cheap, even when you’ve assembled all the elements you need to do your crimping. You can do your crimping while in your boat, on a dock, or in your leisure time when you’re preparing a variety of rigs in your garage.

Crimps for sale are double sleeves. It’s important to do your crimping properly because you don’t want to damage your line when you crimp. You can purchase simply the sleeves themselves, or a rigging kit that has sleeves and thimbles (both of which are necessary, remember).

Crimps for sale online have double barrel sleeves in different sizes to fit whatever diameter line or cable you might be using. The first few times creating your own loop using a thimble, and then crimping it, will be slow as you get used to working with these tiny items, but as with everything, practice will make perfect. If you’re a do-it-yourself or want to be a do-it-yourselfer, you’ll have no problem with these.

Crimps prices will vary if you’re just purchasing the crimps or a rigging kit. A rigging kit can come in handy since you do need both the double barrel sleeves and the thimbles, which can be either stainless steel or nylon. A rigging kit will have these items in four different sizes, which can be a help.
