If you're going on a tilefishing trip, we recommend going with an electric reel. You will have so much more fun fishing with an electric reel and a proper deep drop rod than with a non-electric model. Electric reels have come a long way and there are now several great choices. Buy one and go bring up a few big tilefish from the depths!
