Powerful and well made reel. Large line capacity with tons of drag. I am using this in Thailand catching Mekong giant catfish with great success. This reel has enough line capacity and drag to tame these 100+ lb monsters. For a big reel this casts well and the MC cast is easy to adjust. A little on the heavy side, but that is to be expected with a reel of this size.
Avet LX 6/3 MC Raptor Lever Drag Reels are a great combination of size and power. A medium sized reel that holds over 600 yards of 65 lb braid and puts out 38 lbs of drag is very rare and the LX Raptor is one of the best. To make the Raptor, Avet took the standard LX 2-Speed MC and beefed up the frame, doubled the drag and added a lever drag system that is significantly better. This reel was built to be lightweight, cast well, and handle big fish. Great for jigging, bottom fishing or live bait fishing.
Avet LX 6/3 MC Raptor Lever Drag Fishing Reels are available in several colors. If you need a reel that has harness lugs, go up one model to the HX Raptor.
