Designed for anglers looking to reach bigger fish holding beneath the surface, this oversized swimming plug combines a substantial baitfish profile with the ability to reach depths of approximately 10–15 feet when trolled. Whether you're working deeper structure, trolling along productive shorelines, or casting to feeding predators, the Personal Best Fat Boy Troller offers a versatile presentation built to attract attention from large, aggressive fish.

Deep-Diving Action for Trophy Predators

The Personal Best 8" Fat Boy Troller is designed to swim beneath the surface, reaching depths of approximately 10–15 feet when trolled. This makes it an excellent choice for targeting striped bass holding along drop-offs, channel edges, and other deeper areas where large predators frequently hunt. Its substantial body creates a noticeable presence in the water, helping anglers present a convincing target to fish that aren't actively feeding near the surface.

Versatile Casting and Trolling Performance

While the Fat Boy Troller is designed to excel behind the boat, it can also be cast, giving anglers additional flexibility when targeting fish in different conditions. Trolling allows anglers to cover productive stretches of water while maintaining a presentation below the surface. When casting, the lure offers another option for working deeper areas where larger fish may be holding. This versatility makes the Fat Boy Troller a useful addition to any serious striped bass angler's collection.

Oversized Profile for Big Fish

At 8 inches long, the Personal Best Fat Boy Troller delivers the substantial profile that trophy predators often prefer. Its large body makes it particularly appealing when striped bass are feeding on adult bunker, mullet, and other sizable baitfish. The oversized silhouette helps the lure stand out in the water, offering a substantial meal that can encourage larger, more selective predators to commit.

Substantial Weight and Durable Construction

Weighing approximately 4.5 ounces, the Personal Best Fat Boy Troller has the substantial weight and construction expected from a serious big-fish plug. Each lure features a heavy-duty epoxy coating designed to protect its distinctive finish against the demands of saltwater fishing. This durable outer layer helps preserve the lure's appearance while providing the toughness needed for repeated use when pursuing powerful predators.

Handcrafted Quality and Distinctive Finishes

Every Personal Best Fat Boy Troller is individually handcrafted through a detailed process that includes turning, sealing, sanding, painting, and applying a protective epoxy finish. This hands-on approach produces a distinctive custom lure with the attention to detail that serious anglers appreciate. Available in unique color patterns, each plug reflects the craftsmanship and individuality of a handmade fishing lure.
