The new Antares A has been made more compact so it will fit more comfortably in your hand, while still being overbuilt. It features the MGL III spool which is incredibly light in weight and will deliver long, accurate casts. It responds well to the SVS Infinity braking system making it ideal for a wide variety of freshwater fishing applications. It is a trouble-free design that you will enjoy for a very long time. It is as rugged a reel as it is precise, which is hard to accomplish. The designers over at Shimano have outdid themselves with the new Antares A. If you like smooth reels, this definitely fits the bill with the MicroModule gearing system and eleven ball bearings.
