The Shimano Grappler Type Slow J Jigging Casting Rods are designed for slow pitch jigging. Unlike rods from other manufacturers, these aren't inshore rods with a slow pitch label on them. These are true slow pitch rods so if you are doing anything other than slow pitch jigging, go with a different rod. The Grappler Type Slow J is constructed of Shimano's Spiral X and Hi-Power X. This makes for a rigid blank that won't deform or twist, leading to a better fishing experience. They are lightweight, powerful and very sensitive. They feature Fuji Alconite Guides with an SiC tip and custom grips with a long split grip in the back. At the end is an EVA knob that stops the rod from coming forward when the blank is tucked under your arm. The top portion of these rods are very soft so that you can get the most out of slow pitch jigs.
