St Croix 2024 Avid Series Casting Rods come with more balance than Ralph Macchio in Karate Kid, and more comfort than your TemperPedic bed (although if you’re like me, you spend many nights on the couch due to your excessive fishing habit). The Avid Casting rods are fine tuned to make precise casts in tight spaces, such as throwing a frog onto a lily pad or hitting a spot three inches from a dock piling. Featuring St. Croix’s proprietary high-modulus SC III graphite blank that utilizes the masterful IPC® technology, the Avid Casting series rods are so lightweight that you can keep casting well after the time you told your wife you’d be home (see: sleeping on the couch). The Alconite® guides ensure your sensitive braid will not knot up during big casts, and are so sensitive, you can pick up every strike before the fish even knows it’s hitting your offering.

St Croix 2024 Avid Series Casting Rods are made in the USA, and are available in many different lengths and weights, ranging between 6’ and 7’6”. As always, the Avid comes with the high strength Fuji® ECS or TCS (depending on length) reel seat.
