The IO has established itself as one of the best bottom fishing rods on the market and is the most popular blackfish rod we sell in the shop. Now it is available in this amazing colorway. Inspired by American warships, the rod is battleship gray with orange accents and looks as good as it performs. When we heard this new colorway was being released we reached out to Avet to ask them to bring back a color that has been out of circulation for many years. They agreed to do a limited run of orange SX G2 5.3 Lever Drag Reels, which perfectly match the rod. If you're looking for an amazing bottom fishing combo that can handle a wide range of fish and you want to make other anglers jealous, this is the combo to own. The rod and reel look absolutely amazing together. You're going to love fishing this combo!

Dark Matter IO M Casting Rods are 7'3" and use spiral wrapped Fuji guides. They are one piece. While rated 1-4 ozs, they can easily handle jigging up to 10 oz. The Avet SX G2 5.3 comes with a matching orange clamp set. The rod comes with a one-year Dark Matter warranty. The Avet comes with a one-year Avet warranty.

Orders of $100 or more will receive free standard shipping (3-5 business days) within the Continental US (Gift cards excluded). Your order must ship in a single box and have a dimensional weight of no greater 10 lbs. Many fishing rods and other long items that have a shipping dimension of over 60" do not qualify for free shipping. See individual item for details.

We do not do cash refunds! All refunds must be put on a credit card.

Credit Card & Debit Card Returns - In-Store

You have 5 days from the date of purchase to return an item for a refund. An item returned from 6 days to 30 days from the purchase date is eligible for a store credit. Item must be in brand new condition, unused, in its original packaging, and accompanied by a valid receipt. Rods must have original tags. If you do not have a receipt you will be given store credit. It is your responsibility to ask for a receipt at time of purchase.

You have 14 days from the date of purchase to return an item for a refund on a purchase made with a credit card or debit card online. All refunds will be issued to the original method of payment. An item returned from 15 days to 30 days from the purchase date is eligible for a store credit. Item must be in brand new condition, unused, in its original packaging, and accompanied by a valid receipt. Rods must have original tags. If you do not have a receipt you will be given store credit. It is your responsibility to ask for a receipt at time of purchase!
