Instead of adjusting the rear drag with a dial, you move the lever on the new live liner system into one of four different positions. This allows you to choose the drag that you need. You can refine your setting even more by removing the cap on the bottom of the reel and adjusting the set screw. The internals have gotten a big upgrade with the CNC gearing system.
