They have a 5.7:1 and 1.3:1 gear ratios so you can really crank in big fish from deep water. The SpeedMaster II features an all metal body that is rigid and strong, and a powerful carbon drag system that puts out 40 lbs of drag at max. That is a lot of drag! Four ball bearings and a little Shimano engineering wizardry make this reel extremely smooth.
